What are you doing about branding?

My family and I went to Bob Evans over the weekend for breakfast. After maybe 10 seconds of scanning the several options on the menu I exclaimed, "Ooo The Everything Breakfast looks good!". My husband replied, "Yeah that's what I was thinking of getting too.". Of all the many options, somehow, in a very small amount of time, we both made a decision. The same decision! And that, my friend, is how marketing works. It's how branding works. Show them an image of what you want them to buy into, and they buy into it. Whether its your product, your service, or you. Speaking of you... YOU are your brand, and personal branding is incredibly important because, people typically buy from someone they know, trust, and like.

How often are you being passed by because you don't have your image out there? You probably have a LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, maybe even a Google+ page. Each of these platforms require a picture. It's the first thing that anyone sees when they view your page. Profiles with an image are 21 times more likely to be viewed than profiles without an image and allows you to stand out more.
